LegalBook
Early access

You practice law. We run the operating system around you.

LegalBook gives independent law firms one operations platform and a managed workforce for reception, intake and case operations. Your attorneys supervise all legal work. Early access.

Starting with immigration firms. LegalBook is not a law firm and gives no legal advice.

How a call becomes workA caller dials the firm’s number, which forwards into LegalBook (live phone service is not available yet). A routing policy picks the queue by hours, language, caller type and office. A receptionist answers with the firm’s identity and the caller’s context, and the call ends in an intake, a callback, a client-service request or an escalation. Each outcome is a work item with a queue and a service-level clock, and only what needs a lawyer reaches the attorney exception queue.STEP 01Caller dialsyour firm’s public numberSTEP 02NOT AVAILABLE YETNumber forwards into LegalBookSTEP 03Routing policyhours · language · officeSTEP 04Receptionistfirm identity + caller contextIntakea new prospectCallbackattempts loggedClient servicea matter requestEscalationsupervisor, attorneyWork itemqueue · clock · allowed actions · QAAttorney exception queueonly what needs a lawyer

§ 1The problem

The owner is still the switchboard.

A familiar morning · a scenario, not a customer story

Nine o’clock. The phone has rung four times while the owner prepares for a consultation. One caller is a new prospect who speaks Spanish. One is an existing client asking whether her documents arrived. One is a court clerk. One hangs up.

A paralegal is chasing a passport copy by text from her own phone. A notice arrived yesterday and nobody has put its date on the calendar. The owner is the only person who knows where everything stands, so everything still goes through the owner.

Independent firms are often excellent at the law and stretched on everything around it: answering, intake, document chasing, status calls, deadlines and supervising the people who do that work.

Hiring, training, scheduling and replacing each of those roles is a second business. LegalBook is built to take that second business off the owner’s desk, while every legal judgment stays with the firm’s attorneys.

§ 2What it is

One operations platform, plus a managed workforce.

The platform is the record and the rules: calls, intakes, matters, documents, workflows and queues. The workforce is trained people who work inside it, from your playbooks, across several firms without crossing any firm’s walls. Firms start with the part they need.

  • Way 1 to start

    Front Office

Phone answering, routing, bilingual reception, intake, scheduling, existing-client triage and message handling.

    What Front Office includes →
  • Way 2 to start

    Case Operations

Document collection, workflow coordination, client follow-up, task queues and standardized legal-support work under firm rules and attorney supervision.

    What Case Operations includes →
  • Way 3 to start

    Full Office

Front Office and Case Operations together, with QA, the supervisor console, reporting and technology administration.

    What Full Office includes →

The shared-workforce platform is built: workers with skills and languages, authorized firm by firm, and a firm’s own staff can work in it too. Teams staffed by LegalBook itself are not available yet.

§ 3Call to work

How a call becomes work.

One record from the moment the phone rings. Nothing lives in a notebook or someone’s inbox.

  1. Step 1Live phone service: not available yet

    Your number forwards into LegalBook

Callers keep dialling the number they know. Forwarding, porting, your own carrier over SIP, or a new number: the product models all four.

  2. Step 2

Your routing policy decides where it goes

Business hours and holidays, language, caller type, office and urgency, in a versioned policy your firm can simulate before it publishes.

  3. Step 3

A receptionist answers as your firm

Your firm’s name and instructions are on the screen, with the caller’s match, their matters and open requests, and the playbook for the call.

  4. Step 4

The call ends in work, not a sticky note

An intake, a callback, a client-service request or an escalation. Each one is a work item with a queue, a service-level clock and an audit trail.

The whole path, end to end

§ 4Workspaces

One record, many workspaces.

Everyone works on the same records, and each person sees the workspace for their role, limited to what that role needs.

For receptionists and intake staff

Reception

The live queue of calls, messages and callbacks, with the caller’s context and the firm’s identity beside every conversation. Receptionists see only what the live interaction needs.

  • The queue, active calls, callbacks and voicemail
  • Caller match, existing matters and open requests
  • The playbook for this kind of call
  • Intake questionnaires and appointment slots

§ 5Attorneys

Attorneys see only what needs a lawyer.

Routine work stays with the people doing it. The attorney’s home is a short list: reviews, decisions, conflict and intake approvals, deadlines to verify and escalations, each with one-tap actions.

  • Works in your phone’s browser; add it to the home screen and it opens full screen like an app
  • Client data is never cached on the phone for offline use
  • Two-step sign-in, and a fresh sign-in before sensitive actions
  • Conflict decisions, intake acceptance and deadline verification are attorney actions

§ 7Integrations

Your systems stay.

Your practice-management system remains where the official matter lives. LegalBook is the team and operating layer that makes sure calls, requests, documents and work move every day, and it links to your system instead of replacing it.

§ 9Boundaries

What LegalBook is not.

Not a law firm
LegalBook does not practice law, give legal advice or form an attorney-client relationship with your clients.
Attorneys supervise
Your attorneys supervise all legal work. Legal judgments (conflicts, eligibility, strategy, filing, deadlines) are attorney actions in the product.
Not a marketing agency
LegalBook does not sell leads or run a lawyer marketplace. Your firm brings its own clients.
Not a replacement for your system of record
LegalBook works alongside practice-management systems such as Clio rather than replacing them.
